The use of a specially formulated high temperature brazing flux is necessary for brazing operations using specialised copper based brazing alloys when brazing in air. Typical applications include induction brazing of tungsten carbide tools and wear parts.
The flux residues from this type of flux need to be removed mechanically or chemically and this factor should be considered when selecting the brazing method.
