High purity palladium containing brazing alloys find use in a variety of applications including electronic components for imaging,aerospace, oil and gas and chemical. The Pd-Cu-Ag alloys in this range are often selected because they show good wetting on a variety of materials including Kovar and Mo-Mn seals. Also they have narrow melting ranges and can be produced in ultra pure V1 grademaking them suitable for brazing and step-brazing of complex metallised ceramics in electronic components. Palladium bearing alloys also exhibit good corrosion resistance and strength at elevated temperatures.
