Product Uses and Applications
Flux cored or filled silver brazing alloys are designed to provide handling and quality benefits in mass production of brazed components.
The built-in flux means that there is no need for a separate flux to be applied to the components prior to heating. This eliminates the fluxing step as well as reducing handling and waste.
For flux cored or filled brazing rings, the added flux is released all around the joint opening durning heating to brazing temperature. This ensures the active flux is positioned where it is needed.

Meta-Braze Advanced™ Channel Braze 450 is a product with flux contained in a channel or central core. Meta-Braze™ 450 contains nickel for improved strength and wetting on tungsten carbide segments. It can also be used for brazing highly alloyed and stainless steel components. It is particularly useful on automotive parts where joint gaps may not be tightly controlled or where a corrosion resistant alloy is required.

Meta-Braze Advanced™ Seamed Tubular Braze 140
Meta-Braze Advanced™ Seamed Tubular Braze 140 combines a general-purpose brazing filler metal with a specially formulated flux core or channel. Meta-Braze™ 140 has medium melt and flow characteristics making it very commonly used in the brazing of tubular components such as those found in HVACR applications. This product can also be supplied in the form of a channel braze or tubular braze ring.
